“We will promote academic discussions centered on new technologies and contribute through multifaceted collaboration”

Hanlim Moon, the newly appointed President of the Korean Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and CEO of MediRama, expressed her ambition to continue society-led academic discussions and collaboration to enhance the speed and accuracy of domestic drug development.

According to the society, President Moon was elected on the 15th at the 2026 Spring Scientific Meeting of the Korean Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and the Korea-Japan Joint Symposium, held at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center.

President Moon stated, “Korea is already globally recognized for having world-class clinical trial infrastructure and highly capable researchers. However, moving forward, collaboration must be further strengthened so that we go beyond merely conducting clinical trials in the early stages and take the lead in establishing and executing clinical strategies.”

She continued, “The rapid advancement of AI-based technologies presents a significant opportunity to simultaneously improve the speed and accuracy of drug development. Clinical pharmacologists should take the lead in this trend,” adding, “At the society level, we plan to promote academic discussions centered on new technologies while strategically planning and executing multifaceted collaboration and contributions.”

Meanwhile, President Moon began her career as a professor of Hematology-Oncology at The Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine. She later worked at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and led oncology clinical development across the Asia-Pacific region at Sanofi and GSK. At MediRama, which she founded in 2021, she is operating the ‘ABCD platform,’ supporting domestic pharmaceutical and biotech companies in drug development strategy, clinical management, and business development.
